A young pair of the undescribed species of Thorichthys found in the upper Coatzacoalcos system. These fish are quite rare in the hobby and should be kept pure, not to be mixteco with the other 2 undescribed 'mixtecos' green and gold. You can see my breeding pair of T.Mixteco gold in my other videos.

The reason for removing part of the spawn was to raise as they would not survive in a community setting. The underwater video was taken with my mobile phone, Sony Xperia Z.

The Thorichthys sp. coatzacolcas is currently a undescribed species, in the genus of the world wide famous 'Firemouth' cichlid. There are 3 colour forms know, Gold, Green and Blue, which are in this video, they are a great small/medium cichlid to keep and will readily spawn in captivity.
